Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data SEOExercises collects, why we use it and the choices you have. SEOExercises is operated by Cloudex Marketing, which is responsible for your data ("we", "us" or "our").

1. What we collect

Card and payment details go directly to Paddle, our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number.

2. Legal bases

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we use your data:

• to perform our contract with you, such as running your account and paid plan;
• with your consent, such as waitlist emails and optional reminders. You can withdraw consent at any time;
• for our legitimate interests, such as security, preventing cheating and improving the Service;
• to meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting records.

3. Who we share data with

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run SEOExercises, under contracts that protect it:

• Paddle: payments, invoices, tax and refunds, as our reseller and Merchant of Record;
• Hosting and database providers: to host the website and store account and learning data;
• Email providers: to send account emails and, if you agree, updates;
• Analytics and error-monitoring tools: to understand use of the site and fix problems.

We also share data:

• with an employer, if you take a hiring test they sent you;
• with your team owner, if you join a Team plan, who can see your progress and scores;
• publicly, only if you choose to show your name on a leaderboard or publish a portfolio;
• when the law requires it, or to protect our users and the Service.

4. If the business is sold

If SEOExercises or Cloudex Marketing is sold, merged or reorganized, your personal data may be transferred to the new owner as part of that transaction. The new owner must keep using it in line with this policy, and we'll tell you before your data becomes subject to a different policy.

5. International transfers

Our providers may store and process data in countries other than yours. When we transfer data from places such as the EU or UK, we use safeguards that the law accepts, such as standard contractual clauses.

6. How long we keep data

• Waitlist emails: until launch, or until you unsubscribe.
• Account and learning data: while your account is open, then deleted within 90 days of closing it.
• Test activity logs: up to 12 months after the test.
• Certificates: kept so employers can verify them, unless you ask us to remove them.
• Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting laws require.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and keep the site secure. We use analytics cookies only where the law allows or with your consent. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to:

• see the personal data we hold about you;
• correct or delete it;
• get a copy to take elsewhere;
• object to or restrict how we use it;
• withdraw consent.

Email support@seoexercises.com to make a request. We'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Children

SEOExercises isn't meant for anyone under 16. If we learn we've collected data from someone under 16, we'll delete it.

10. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls and trusted providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password that you don't use elsewhere.

11. Changes to this policy

We'll update the date at the top of this page when we change this policy, and tell you before important changes apply.
